Virginie Roth-Hirsinger
Mathematics teacher in middle and high school
An engineer by training, Virginie worked for nearly 15 years in multinational telecommunications companies as an R&D engineer and then as a technology partnership manager, before looking for a professional path where her involvement could have more meaning and which would allow for a better balance between personal and professional life. After an MBA specialized in Sustainable Development, she became aware that the education of future generations was becoming crucial in terms of both know-how and behaviour.
The world of education and learning became a real driving force that nourished both her curiosity and her taste for learning, always with the desire to remain at the forefront of what is being done.
After a few years of teaching mathematics in the so-called "classical" middle and high schools, she felt the need to find a structure that put itself in a position to seek more individualized solutions for both the student and the teacher.
individualized solutions for both the student and the teacher. Virginie is committed to building bridges between mathematics and other subjects as soon as possible.
In addition, Virginie has founded an association called "Maths We Can" which organizes edutainment workshops in mathematics, including mental arithmetic based on the Chinese abacus. Virginie is also a member of an association of mathematics teachers, "Le cercle d'Euclide", which exchanges practices.
