The Arts and Sciences Lab
Workshops for Everyone
The Arts and Science Lab is a fun, innovative learning space for children from primary school to high school, whose core values are cooperation and achievement. It enables them to carry out activities combining artistic practices and scientific disciplines through several workshops. The workshops are often bilingual, in continuity with the pedagogy offered at Lab School Paris.
We propose these workshops as part of the Arts & Sciences Lab at different times of the week:
- after-school workshops
- Wednesday workshops
- school vacation workshops
Participants are invited to form a team to explore various activities such as audiovisual, creative writing, visual arts and programming. The practice of these different activities leads children to acquire a better understanding of themselves. A day-care center is also available for students enrolled at the school.
Children who are not enrolled at Lab School Paris can also attend extracurricular workshops, both year-round and during the school vacations.

Our workshops introduce children to engineering, mechanics and architecture. At each workshop, children discover a new project, such as a motorized treadmill, merry-go-round or vehicle. The children then improve, decorate and play with it. Our workshops also reinforce sharing, patience, perseverance, communication...

3 days to write a short story!
You've always wanted to write a book, your notebooks are full of unfinished beginnings, your head is overflowing with desires but you don't know how to go about it?
During this 3-day workshop, we'll help you write a short story from A to Z.
Whether it's a short story, a fantasy tale, a humorous short story or a romance... at the end of these 3 days, you'll be able to share with others a short story that you've brought to fruition.

Sciences video game | From age 9

This week's menu includes scientific exploration, a treasure hunt, a fun introduction to particle physics and a look at the world of video games!
This week, you'll discover the educational video game “Exographer”, a fun and immersive way to understand the basics of particle physics! During this course, students will be accompanied through the game, solving puzzles in groups and exploring to unlock all the particles and understand the differences between each one.
Discoveries will be linked to the real principles of particle physics based on the elements unlocked in the game the previous day: periodic elements, electrons, charge and interactions between elements. Finally, as a bonus on the first day, Raphaël Granier de Chassagnac, the game's designer, will himself come and present the project and the work involved in creating a video game!
Audio Lab | From age 11

Learn to use audio as a means of expression A complete workshop combining creative writing, voice work, acting and digital creation, in a creative, project-based pedagogical approach. Gain confidence in English, improve your pronunciation and develop essential personal skills.

MONDAY
Coding workshop - Beginner
4:45pm to 5:45pm - From age 6 (No previous practice required)
Throughout the year, students learn the basics of computer programming by coding games on a platform called Scratch. They will develop technical skills such as blocks, instructions, events, loops, conditions and variables, as well as soft skills like perseverance, self-confidence and group work. They will also learn how to use digital technology more consciously.

Art workshop
4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Ages 6 to 11 (1st to 5th grade)
Sketching, perspective, collage, scraping, sculpture, watercolor, weaving ... a year to discover or perfect different techniques, open up to and share with a variety of artists, create for oneself and/or as a gift. Conditions permitting, we'll be organizing outings and an exhibition of the young artists' creations at the end of the year.

Creative writing workshop
4:45pm to 6:15pm - Ages 9 to 12
Discover your inner author! Discover the magic of words and the power of your imagination through a variety of fun and unexpected writing activities. Be inspired by published and aspiring writers alike, as you share your work and discover what others are up to. Gain self-confidence and embark on a longer writing project that we'll “edit” together. At the end of the 32 sessions, you'll be proud to hold your book in your hands!
Weekly 1h30 workshop (Thursdays, 4.45pm-6.15pm) led by Cécile Emeraud, children's book publisher (Voce verso), author and teacher.
First discovery session on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Last session with presentation of work on June 26, 2025 (break during school vacations).
An opportunity to experience the pleasure of writing, gain self-confidence, exercise critical thinking skills, develop creativity and discover the professions involved in the book trade.

Debate club in English in Montreuil
5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - From 9th to 11th grades
Debating gives you the satisfaction of expressing your opinions. It's also about learning to organize your ideas, enriching your general knowledge and, above all, taking part in an enriching collective activity. Taking part in Debate in English means doing all this in English! In partnership with The Break, Lab School Paris offers a fun, collective language learning experience based on oratory and debating techniques.
Step by step, immersed in the language, young people develop their oral English skills on contemporary issues. They also learn how to communicate, think critically and work as part of a team.

Creative DIY
Discover a program of fun and creative activities that awakens children to the environment through crafts and recycling. These workshops are designed to allow children to grow in creativity, resourcefulness and discover their ability to act on a daily basis.
Music Lab
Far from the classical and academic courses of the conservatory, the Music Lab emphasizes a creative and playful approach to music. It will allow the child to explore this universe while beginning to acquire the basic notions (rhythm, notes, nuances, music theory, etc.).
Kidz Lab
The Kidz Lab offers a quality edutainment offer that allows your child to flourish, socialize, have fun, and learn differently, by themselves and with others. A program built around sports and artistic practice.
Daycare
For children enrolled at Lab School Paris, a daycare service is available.
You can register your child for any number of slots during the year.
