Roberto Casati

Born in Milan, Roberto Casati is Director of Research at the CNRS and Director of Studies at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales.


Interested in interdisciplinary research as a philosopher of cognitive science, he has published in numerous scientific journals and taught at various universities in Italy, the USA and France. His books include La Découverte de l'ombre (Albin Michel, 2002), which won the 2003 “La science se livre” prize, 39 petites histoires philosophiques d'une redoutable simplicité (Albin Michel, 2005) and Contre le colonialisme numérique (Albin Michel, 2013).
