Zazie Ansquer
Visual arts teacher at college and high school
Zazie holds a master's degree in Printed Image from ENSAD (École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris). While studying, she worked as a facilitator in nursery and primary schools and completed several internships in cultural mediation in museums such as the Centre Pompidou, working with groups of children and teenagers aged 6 to 16.
Very quickly, the educational dimension and the transmission of knowledge became obvious to her, reinforced by her discovery of major alternative teaching methods such as Montessori, Freinet, and Decroly. After her studies, she chose to train in these teaching methods and at the same time joined an alternative school, where she taught for six years.
Zazie mainly taught in kindergarten, in multi-age groups, while maintaining a strong link with primary school, thanks to her training and the projects she carried out with older children. Artistic practice is at the heart of her teaching and her approach to everyday life: she values manual work, the pursuit of beauty, drawing, and all forms of know-how that she loves to pass on to children. These experiences naturally led her to teach as an art teacher today, in order to continue to nurture creativity and develop the artistic sensibility of adolescents.
The contribution of alternative teaching methods leads her to constantly question her teaching style, in order to make learning more accessible and enable students to become active and independent learners. This approach aims to develop their personal perspective and a more comprehensive understanding of the world around them.
Alongside teaching, artistic practice is an integral part of her daily life, particularly through personal drawing projects where she combines everyday stories, humor, and pedagogy.
