High school curriculum

The general and technological 10th grade is offered at the high school of the Lab School Paris, with a pedagogical approach that follows in the footsteps of the elementary and middle school: a bilingual French-English education that respects the National French Education's Common Base of Skills, Knowledge and Culture, while supporting students's social-emotional development and fostering the acquisition of autonomy. Our classes go up to the 10th grade, with the opening of the 11th grade scheduled for the start of the 2024 school year, and the 12th grade for the start of the 2025 school year. The high school will offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum from the start of the 2024 school year with the 11th grade class.

The International Baccalaureate (IB)

The International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to develop in young people the intellectual curiosity, knowledge and sensitivity needed to help build a better, more peaceful world in a spirit of mutual understanding and intercultural respect.

All IB World Schools share a common vision: a commitment to stimulating, high-quality international education. The Diploma Programme is a two-year course of study, corresponding to the first and final year of secondary school.

It concludes with final examinations and prepares students for university entrance and working life. The IB Diploma Programme enjoys excellent international recognition, providing access to higher education in every country in the world.

It is also recognized by the majority of French universities and grandes écoles, and allows students to enroll on the same basis as the French national baccalaureate.

At the start of the 2022-2023 school year, the Lab School Paris is opening its high school on a new site, in Montreuil.

The Lab School team has conducted an in-depth reflection on what the high school years should bring to students to enable them to best prepare for higher education and entry into working life, whatever their orientation choice.
